Eye Makeup Tips

With these quick and simple eye makeup tips, you can get eyes like a super star in no time.

Natural Eye Makeup

Natural eye makeup is perfect for daytime wear. Whether it’s for a subtle work look, or for a relaxed day out, natural doesn’t have to mean dull.

Here is how you can get a great natural look:

  • Apply foundation and concealer to your eye area and apply white or light colour eyeliner to your eyelids, top and bottom.
  • Using a soft eye shadow brush, apply a light neutral shade over your entire eye area, from eyelashes to eyebrows.
  • Apply a darker neutral to the crease at the top of your eyelid, making sure to blend well and keep it narrower on the inside.
  • Lastly, apply a medium neutral shade from your eyelashes to the crease, concentrating on the outer edges of your eyes, and blending well towards the inside corners.
  • Finish off with a coat or two of clear or dark brown mascara. If you want to update this look for an evening look, use a bronze medium shade or bronzing powder over your eyes to finish off.

Smoky Eye Makeup

Nothing says sexy and sophisticated like smoky eye makeup. This is a great look for evening, especially parties, and is much simpler than you’d think.

Here is how you can achieve the smoky eyes look:

  • Use dark grey or black eyeliner along your upper and lower eyelids.
  • Apply a dark grey or plum shadow, and brush to extend past the outer edges in an upward motion.
  • Use a medium grey or neutral shade to soften the look along the middle of the eyelid.
  • Add a light shade along the upper eyelid until just below the eyebrow, and finish the look by applying the dark shade underneath the lower eyelashes using a stiff or fine brush.
  • For the final touch, apply two coats of black or dark grey mascara. You can glam this look up by using metallic eye shadow instead of matte.
